In 2024, I had the honor of presenting a retrospective of my work at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. This exhibition gathered together paintings spanning over two decades—works that trace my evolution as a narrative realist and my ongoing dialogue with history and the resilience of women. To see these paintings united in Fort Wayne Museum of Art was deeply moving. The presentation was impeccable and the exhibition galleries were regal.
The 2024 retrospective at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art was not only a reflection on my past—it was a bridge to what lies ahead. I am profoundly grateful to Amanda Shepard, Curator and COO of the museum, for her insight, sensitivity, and belief in my work. My deepest thanks also go to Charles Shepard, Director of the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, for his leadership and vision, and to PNC Bank for their generous support in making that exhibition possible.
To stand in those galleries surrounded by the art and stories of my life was a moment I will never forget. It affirmed my purpose and deepened my commitment to continue creating works that honor the strength, beauty, and perseverance of women.
